As a contemporary painter, I am currently creating an on-going series of oil paintings entitled ‘Tree-Nature Portraits,’ and a new series celebrating iconic trees, as Trees of Life, in Great Britain.

I’d be really interested to hear about your ‘Tree-Nature Portraits’. I work on the urban programme at the Woodland Trust and am involved in protecting one of the Trust’s hometown ‘oldest residents’, an iconic street tree – a 400 year old oak tree called the ‘Grantham Oak’. It’s received a lot of attention and the current project is to try to produce saplings of the mother-tree via root grafting and plant nearby so that we can hopefully continue its longevity.
