Stowe is a magnificent landscaped garden on the grandest of scales. It also has trees such as the eight hundred year old Ferry Oak as well as one of the most impressive small leafed lime avenues with hundreds of very old and very veteran trees. Look out for the dead ancient oak with a healthy elder growing within its hollow belly.
